Dan McAweeney

Dan has been self-employed in general construction and construction manage-ment since graduating from California State University at Fresno in 1973. Dan built DMC from the ground up. With his leadership, DMC was ranked as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States by Inc. magazine in 1988. After establishing a strong found-ation, Dan relocated DMC in the late 1990’s to the Monterey Peninsula, where the company quickly became recognized as one of the leading general contractors in the area. Dan’s responsibilities include strategic planning issues, financial plan-ning and marketing. He also leads the DMC team as the chief estimator. Dan and his wife are active members in the community, supporting and sponsoring a number of different youth organizations, charitable causes, sports programs, civic groups and service organizations. Dan is a civic leader and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Monterey Museum of Art. In 2005, he was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce. Dan, his wife and family reside on the Monterey Peninsula.
