PHASES OF WORK


I. Pre-construction

Our teamwork approach proactively addresses all critical items before construction starts by gathering input from experts on mechanical and electrical systems, foundations, structural detailing, scheduling, and purchasing.  Our team usually consists of a Project Manager and the Commercial Division Manager who will work with your design and construction professionals to determine cost effective means and methods, value engineering benefits, realistic budgets and aggressive time schedules. 

DMC provides consultation and hands-on management through the balance of design development and the solicitation of subcontractors.  We work with your design team to produce tight bid documents and prepare actual bid packages for selected sub bidders. Bid packages focus on aligning project liabilities where advisable and/or breakdown of packages when cost-effective.

DMC’s pre-construction services include:

II. Construction

We provide you with responsive leadership and consistency of management throughout each project.  We work in partnership with you, the architects, subcontractors and engineers to successfully complete your project. Our Project Managers, Superintendents, and Job Foremen are experienced and collaborate on the most effective means and cost effective methods aimed at building a successful project.  Our understanding of subcontractor trades and our access to historical databases helps us to manage costs, accurately schedule work, and proactively suggest mid-course corrections.

DMC’s construction services include:

  • Schedule development and control

  • Subcontractor management

  • Field engineering and site management

  • Safety assurance

  • Project accounting

  • Quality control

We are able to self-perform many construction trades using our own employees. This helps us control costs, schedules and quality. With over 30 years experience in self-performing work, our project management personnel have construction and operations expertise uncommon in the industry today.

DMC’s self-performance capabilities include:

  • Interior demolition

  • Concrete forming, placing, and finishing

  • Rough and finish carpentry

  • Interior finish items

  • Project Supervision

III. Post-construction

We provide a one year warranty, and in some cases, a multiple year warranty.
