SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE

DMC places a high priority on creating a safe and healthy work environment for every employee. DMC’s  safety program is designed with the objective of zero accidents and injuries. A critcal component of the program is our Injury and Illness Prevention Program, commonly known as the IIPP. This program provides Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen with a detailed and comprehensive on-site source of information, and is administered by the company's Safety Manager.  A good safety record benefits the worker and the Company.  DMC adheres to a strict

Code of Safe Practices as part of its IIPP. Company-wide safety meetings, which are held once a month, are attended by senior management as well as Project Managers and Superintendents. Safety training and educating our employees is on-going.  In addition, weekly toolbox meetings are conducted at the job site by the Field Superintendent. In addition,  safety inspections of the job site are performed regularly by the Superintendent, the results of which are reported to the Division Manager and Safety Manager.  DMC expects and requires its sub-contractors to adhere to the Company's established safety standards as well, thus assuring that the entire jobsite is a safe and healthy workplace.
