| DESCRIPTION: |
The
project represents Phase One of a proposed three-phase
development project. The
current phase involves the demolition of an existing 30,000
square foot building followed by the construction of a new bus
transfer facility. The
new facility will consist of an 830 square foot Customer Service
Building and 2,400 square feet of canopy passenger shelters of
contemporary design. The
site-work consists of over 27,000 square feet of concrete
walkways, concrete and asphalt pavement sections, and surface
parking. The remainder of the site will be landscaped utilizing
drought tolerant materials. |

| CHALLENGES: |
The
structures incorporate structural steel, glue-laminated lumber,
and sheet metals to form cantilevered, curved roof structures of
contemporary design. The
project site work will be performed while maintaining access to
a heavily trafficked access road for the local US Post office. |
